Webinar : Preparing the multistakeholder mission to Wales

Objective: It will aim at giving an outline of the contents and the practical organisation of the mission to the Nation of Wales. You will find attached the agenda of this session.

The mission will take place from 11.05.2025 to 16.05.2025 in North Wales and will aim at getting to know more the blue economy ecosystem of Wales and setting up new cooperation. Major attention will go to: green corridors and the decarbonization of ports, the development of sustainable aquaculture, circular economy, and marine renewable energy, including the role of artificial intelligence in each of these sectors. The mission is open for the regional authorities and their agencies, the ports and their maritime industries, the universities and the research institutions, SMEs and cluster, active in the blue or circular economy. The internationalisation of SMEs, the strengthening of regional ecosystems and reindustrialization processes are at the core of the mission.

Both webinar and mission are organised within the framework of the Transatlantic Pilot Project. This project is a an experimental project to develop a precursor of cooperation scheme at transatlantic level (between EU and non-EU Atlantic regions) for the green recovery of Atlantic territories. It is supported by the European Parliament. The Transatlantic project is led by the Atlantic Arc Commission of the CPMR, in cooperation with Forum Oceano (PT) and CEIMAR (ES). This cooperation is actively supported by the Nation of Wales and the Province of Québec.
